3. Mat Thomas--------------------------------------4.710-----------------151.07

7. Dwayne Pebworth--------------------------------4.827-----------------144.71
8. Kent Birkes----------------------------------------4.85------------------139.00
Round 1 Eliminations
Mark Ellis----------------------------------.057------------4.711-------------148.80
Chris Dollar--------------------------------.065------------4.797-------------144.78
Mark is really getting the 4.70 thing down! Wild Turkey (Chris) was way off pace giving Mark the easy round win.
Alan Powell---------------------------------.116-----------4.723-------------139.31
Dwayne Pebworth-------------------------.061------------11.278-----------41.64
Alan gets the win this round leaving a bit later than usual. Dwayne was off his normal pace trying a different tune-up.
Mat Thomas---------------------------------.025------------4.719-------------151.12
Dave Moser---------------------------------(-.136)---------4.879-------------142.64
Mat has a nice clean pass while Dave leaves early.
David Baldwin------------------------------.069------------4.724-------------135.69
Kent Birkes----------------------------------.108------------7.897-------------71.86
David cruises through for the win this round. Kent has been really fighting the gremlins this season with some bizarre mechanical issues.
Semi-Finals
David Badwin-------------------------------.083------------4.717------------143.26
Mark Ellis------------------------------------.051------------4.694------------148.89
David dodges a bullet here. Mark has the starting line advantage but takes a bit too much stripe.
Mat Thomas----------------------------------.029------------4.715------------150.33
Alan Powell----------------------------------.026------------4.725------------138.41
This was a tight race! .007 margin of victory in Mat’s favor. Both guys left virtually together but Alan just can’t keep his wheel out in front with that 12mph closing speed at the stripe.
Finals
Mat Thomas----------------------------------.033-----------4.716------------147.65
David Baldwin-------------------------------.063-----------4.696------------144.43
Another very tight race! .010 margin of victory in Mat’s favor again. Mat’s consistency on the tree and e.t. (five 4.71 passes in a row) is really paying dividends. This was a re-match from the race previously held at Texas Raceway. David makes a great pass but just barely falls short.
Congratulations to Mat and the S&M Racing team on your win. Also congrats to David Baldwin and his crew on their #1 Qualifier position and runner-up finish.
A special thanks goes out to Cindi and the Texas Raceway crew for all their hard work and their willingness to have us come put on a show for the fans. Also, thank you to Kacy for getting all the pictures, keying in these results, and helping maintain the Facebook page.
