Congratulations to Mark Ellis for taking the #1 Qualifier position!
Round 1 Eliminations
A. Powell .0370—4.718—140.36
M. Thomas .0078—4.687—148.86
Alan takes Mat out for the second race in a row (although last time it was in the finals). Mat has a good light but can’t tame down the D&L Performance horsepower enough.
C. Dollar .0509—4.758—148.91
D. Reid -.007—4.762—149.45
Chris sees the red light in the other lane and cruises through for the win. Darrell and the crew finally figured out Alan Eaves' beautiful little pickup. Good job guys!
M. Ellis .1931—4.679—149.20
D. Moser -.022—4.798—141.69
Mark definitely has a hotrod that will run! Dave takes a swing at the tree but leaves a bit too early handing the win to Mark.
D. Morales .0203—4.743—139.49
J. Ligon .0141—4.872—144.65
Doug is showing his consistency now. It looked like Jay was shaking the tires from just after the hit to at least 60ft—that may explain why he was off pace a bit.
JACKPOT RACE
D. Pebworth .2426—4.837—143.68
M. Henson .1226—5.572—126.19
Dewayne takes the win in the Jackpot race and the $400 purse. Mike has a nice blown Mustang that may very well be a contender when they get the bugs worked out.
Unfortunately just after first round the sky opened up and the rain started to fall. The four remaining cars have all agreed to come back in two weeks (May 12, 2012 @ 7pm) to finish the race at WRP.
Special thanks go out to D&L Performance, McGinnis Welding Supply, PC Net, Armies Body Craft, REIDCO, and S&T Steel/Waterjet for supporting Outlaw Top Sportsman. These sponsors most certainly helped make this show a success.
Congratulations again to Mark Ellis on his #1 Qualifer position in his first time racing with Outlaw Top Sportsman!
